An extremely hard earned NSPI Silver Award for this gunite pool. On completing the excavation, it was discovered that the founding conditions were less than the minimum requirements. After obtaining a Geo Technical report and Engineer’s design, nine concrete pads were constructed at varying depths to support the pool base. The gunite wall on the leeward side had to be suitably thickened and reinforced due to it standing unsupported in mid-air and to carry the weight of the rock cladding. Charcoal marble plaster and proper granite coping completed the picture resulting in just rewards with the NSPI award.
